KCR revival

Published May 22, 2019

ONE hopes the Karachi Circular Railway project may still see the light of day and provide a solution to the miserable transport problems faced by the common man.

A KCR task force formed recently under the Commissioner Karachi to remove illegal encroachments along the railway line started work this week. Now that the problem of clearing the railway tracks is in progress, work on the project should begin immediately.

The KCR doesn’t need any more ‘studies’; only the government’s will to complete a long-stalled project is needed. This project once operational should help ease traffic congestion in Karachi.

When the project is completed, Karachiites suffering tremendous hardships because of the rickety and inefficient public transport will get their much-needed relief.
