RAWALPINDI: A 25-year-old man was shot dead while a body of an old man was found on Saturday.

According to police, Shabbir Hussain, a resident of Mozah Harnal, reported to Mandra police that his son, Mohammad Ali, was a labourer and associated with shuttering business.

He said Ali used to visit his friend who stayed in a flat at Zahoor Alam Bhatti Plaza.

On Friday, he said his son went to meet his friend where he was shot and injured and was taken to a rural health centre.

He said he found his son unconscious in the hospital when he went there on getting news about the incident. Later, Ali died in the hospital while the suspect fled from his flat, he added.

He suspected that his son’s friend might have killed Ali and asked police to register a case against him. Police lodged an FIR and began investigation.

Meanwhile, police found the body of a 65-year-old man, who went missing on March 13 from Roper Kallan, Chakri.

The family lodged a missing complaint with Chauntra police on April 20.

According to police, the killers buried Sher Dil in a forest after murdering him. Later the body was recovered by the police who shifted it to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
