ISLAMABAD: The Board of Investment (BoI) has established a specialised Project Management Unit (PMU) to facilitate Chinese and foreign investments in Pakistan.

The unit will be a coordinating body for collecting and disseminating the technical and other necessary information amongst all stakeholders and keep intervening in the planning and development of state-of-the-art special economic, export processing and industrial zones across the country.

Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan Yao Jing on Wednesday visited the newly established unit and said that the joint projects of China and Pakistan are open to the world as well.

Speaking on the occasion, BoI Chairman Haroon Sharif said that board would ensure all out efforts to actualise goals of industrial cooperation for shared prosperity under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
