Jawad Ahmad has something to say about PM Imran and Bilawal's recent spat

The singer has recently grown vocal about his criticism of Pakistan's political leaders
Updated 26 Apr, 2019

Singer Jawad Ahmed has weighed in on PM Imran and Bilawal's recent trade of insults and stressed that both should instead be focused on providing relief and economic solutions to their people.

Ahmed took to Twitter yesterday to share these thoughts, "#ImranKhan & #BilawalZardari are both graduates of Oxford University. They both are from the 1%,the Elite. They are both Chairmen of their parties in government. They are both insulting each other instead of giving a solid economic plan for the 99%,for Middle Class,Poor & the Youth."

Ahmed, who heads his own political party called Barabari Party, has been very vocal about his frustrations with the current government.

Last month, we was stopped from making 'anti-PM' remarks at a social media conference in Faisalabad, where he criticised the mudslinging that occurred between Imran Khan and his political rival Nawaz Sharif. He had said neither government has been honest or fair to its people.

Let's move on and don't make a issue of a trivial matters to seek cheap publicity - focus on main issues and try to resolve them collectively. This is my message to all political parties, media and general public - we have uphill challenges ahead of us that need urgent attention and positive contributions from all fellow citizens.

A person stooping so low as to get involved in manners of street talks, is no any elite.

Jawaad is right. Despite the complete media spin, there is no 'common man' aspect of IK. He too has enjoyed privilege throughout his life, and been blessed with luck and looks. But none of that is shining off on the country when he is PM.

I think Jawad Ahmad should go back to his singing as Politics is not his cup of tea.

Hard to disagree with him. Institutions like Oxford and Cambridge are meant to produce world leaders and great thinkers...and here we have two of them taking turns calling each other women. If you want this behaviour, you can easily find it at a bus station or maybe even a school playground.

Is this issue of Saheb vs Sahiba of such importance and magnitude that all focus and energy is focussed on it/ Are there no problems of poverty, inflation, education, health, jobs? All this just reinforces that the parliamentary system of western democracy is not suited as a system for Pakist, Elected members do no attend parliament, they throw mud and make personal attacks, their main task should be legislation and being a watchdog over POLICIES of government and not watchdogs of language , private lives and sandals

These comments are not helpful either, He can suggest alternatives. Do some research about solutions that work.

He can be only happy when his leader NS will be back in power looting the remaining wealth of the country.

The recent spat was definitely petty politics; however, drawing an equivalence between IK and BB is a major fallacy. IK does not have a political dynasty and did not inherit power from his parents. On the other hand, BB's merit is his family and nothing else.

Every pseudo-intellectual gets a platform to speak these days. Jawad should steer clear of politics and singing, and do something that he is good at.

If it was as simple and easy as that jawad you would be PM instead of IK. If the opposition wont let an elected PM and his Govt function properly, you are light years away from being able to do anything.
