ABBOTTABAD: The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Abbottabad chairperson Dr Shaista Irshad has sacked two superintendents of the ongoing higher secondary school annual examinations for violating the code of conduct, and debarred them from being assigned the exam duty in future.

Ghalib Khan, who was performing duty in Nathiagali college, was removed as his son was also appearing in the examination, while Mohammad Farooq, who was superintendent in Abbottabad school, was sacked for opening the question paper before time. He was immediately replaced by his deputy, Zia Fareed.

A board notification clarified that no one could perform the examination duties as invigilators or superintendents if their sons or daughters were appearing in the examination.

OUTLAW ARRESTED: The police in a successful raid arrested a high profile criminal identified as Sajid alias Khan on Monday. The outlaw was booked in six high profile cases of murder and theft and threatening a police official.

He was also wanted in murder case of Bandi Mera nazim Jamil Abbasi.

DPO Abbottabad told a press conference that police tried to arrest the outlaw in the past but he escaped. He said he was arrested by the personnel of Bakot police station led by DSP Galiyat.

SHOPS SEALED: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority seized huge quantity of gutka and sealed the shops selling the banned item, while it also destroyed at least 160 litres of milk found to be substandard and unsafe for human consumption.

The food authority’s officials also raided number of sweet shops, bakeries, hotels and fast food outlets and imposed heavy fines on the owners.
