LAHORE: With a tally of 110 points, Wapda won the National Women’s Powerlifting Championship here on Tuesday.

The Wapda girls grabbed six gold medals and two silver medals from a total of eight weight categories.

Railways finished runners-up with 82 points after claiming two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.Wapda’s Rabia Razzaq was declared as the strongest woman o the event.

Around 100 powerlifters of 11 teams from all over the country competed in the championship.
