SWABI: Three youngsters drowned in the Indus River here on Monday, said police.

Inamullah Khan Jadoon, 20, and Shahid Khan Jadoon, 19, hailing from Bisak village of Gadoon Amazai mountainous region, had gone to Tarbela area of Indus River for bathing with their colleagues.

Later, their bodies were fished out by local divers and were handed over to families.

Family members of the dead youth told Dawn on contact that their friends warned them not to go into deep waters as they did know how to swim, but they ignored the warnings.

A similar incident occurred near Pump House area of the Indus River when 18-year-old Bilal of Batakara village drowned while bathing. His body was recovered by local divers.
