MULTAN, July 12: The Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) will install hoardings at important places across the province for tourists’ guidance, highlighting historically-important sites and those rich in natural beauty. TDCP managing director Irfan Ali has directed the officials concerned to select suitable sites for the installation of hoardings that may include highways, near railway stations, airports, bus stops and entry points of cities.

“The move is aimed at to facilitate tourists to enable them get information and avail services without any trouble about the places they want to visit anywhere in Punjab,” said TDCP regional manager Shoaib Ahmad here on Tuesday.

“We may begin with the installation of hoardings in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Bahawalpur,” he said adding hoardings would be designed to depict sites, culture of the cities where these would be installed besides telephone numbers, e-mail and web site address of the department.—APP
