SHEIKHUPURA, July 12: Rail traffic between Lahore and Sheikhupura remained suspended for several hours when a goods train bogie got derailed near Chechoki Malian railway station on Tuesday afternoon. Reports said the bogie of a goods train, going to Lahore from Faisalabad, got derailed and overturned as it crossed the outer signal of the station. Various other trains on the track had to be halted at Farooqabad, Sheikhupura, Qila Sattar Shah, and Mison Kalar stations from four to five hours.
The rail traffic was restored when a crane, called from Lahore, cleared the track. However, no loss of life or property was reported.
looted: Four alleged dacoits took away a car (LRC 6899) on gunpoint near DHQ hospital, Nankana Sahib, on Tuesday.
Reports said Usman, a landlord of Kot Hussain village, was on his way home after shopping, when the dacoits riding a car deprived him of his vehicle near the hospital.
