LAHORE: Several cities in the country on Saturday received light to moderate rain caused by a westerly wave that is expected to gain strength on Sunday and give some heavy rainfalls at places in the next three days.

Islamabad received 4mm rain, Murree 35, Bahawalpur 17, Layyah 14, Bahawalnagar 13, Kot Addu 8, Bhakkar and Multan 6, Noorpurthal 5, DG Khan, Khanewal, Sahiwal 4, Khanpur 3, Toba Tek Singh and Jhang 2, Joharabad, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Narowal, Okara, Kasur and Mandi Bahauddin 1.

Barkhan recorded 25mm, Quetta 12, Kalat 9, Khuzdar, Zhob 4, Sibbi 3, Upper Dir 29, Lower Dir 19, Mirkhani 16, Malam Jabba 15, Kakul 13, Kalam, Drosh 10, Chitral 9, Balakot 8, Saidu Sharif 6, Parachinar 4, Balakot 3, Bannu and Cherat 2, Garhi Duppta 17, Muzaffarabd 13, Rawalakot 7 and Astore and Bagrote 1.

Widespread dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected in Makran and Kalat divisions, while at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, DG Khan and DI Khan divisions while at a few places in Kohat, Bannu, Malakand and Multan divisions. Hailstorm is also expected at some places during the period.
