MIRAMSHAH: Two members of security forces suffered serious injuries in a roadside bomb blast in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Friday evening.

In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations identified the injured as Farhan and Akram Khan.

They were on routine patrol duty in the Mir Ali tehsil when an explosive device planted by unknown attackers on the roadside went off.

The injured were taken to a local hospital by members of the security forces.

After the incident, the area was cordoned off by security forces and a search operation was launched.
