QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said his government is making efforts to devolve powers to lower bodies for providing benefits of development to people at their doorsteps.

Speaking at public meetings in Kalat and Kot Khaliqabad, he criticised the opposition parties and said previous rulers were responsible for backwardness in the province.

Provincial ministers Mir Zia­ullah Langove and Naseeb­ullah Marri, MNA Robina Irfan, Senator Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Special Assistant to the CM Agha Shakeel Durrani, Rameen Mohammad Hasni and Noor Ahmed Bangulzai also attended the public meetings.
