THE fourth season of the Pakistan Super League was won by Quetta Gladiators; a team from Balochistan like other provinces of Pakistan, but why should the Baloch celebrate its win when there is no Baloch on the team of Quetta?
There are many players who can be seen playing on the national level and performing brilliantly, but none of them got a chance for the national team or the PSL.
The PSL is a platform to bring out the best cricket players. If no Baloch gets a chance to play in the league then how will the Pakistan Cricket Board know that there is talent in Balochistan?
At the Kech festival it was announced that some Baloch players were going to be selected for the PSL’s Quetta team. Thinking about it now, it feels like nothing more than a joke.
I request Prime Minister Imran Khan to do something for the Baloch.

AS a nation we have still not set our priorities right. Coming close on the heel of the Christchurch tragedy, the Pakistan Super League closing ceremony should have been a muted and subdued affair, showing reverence to the heroics and sacrifice of our fellow human beings.
Was one-minute of silence enough to pay homage to them? Also did we really need the nach punjaban and disco dewane...immediately after the one minute silence.
I felt betrayed, as I am sure everybody else effected by that tragedy.
It was a cricket final, and that’s what the crowd was there for. Without being obliged by Junoon and other crooners. It still would have gone well and showed our solidarity with the victims of Christchurch. Maybe we still have a long way to go before we set our priorities right.

EDITION four of the Pakistan Super League saw a thrilling finish before a packed-to-capacity crowd at the National Stadium. The best thing about PSL was that the victory belonged to Pakistan and its people.
The nation, the government, the cricket board and the authorities deserve kudos for working as one and putting the country first. One prays that PSL is the harbinger of international sports activities returning to Pakistan.
