NOWSHERA: A woman died while three others received injuries in a roof collapse in Banda Sher Nabi area of Jehangira here on Wednesday.
Rescue 1122 confirmed the incident, saying that the roof collapsed after it had been weakened by the persistent rain. They said that four women were buried under the rubble.
However, the rescue team retrieved three women safely. The deceased woman was identified as Bibi Khanda, 65.
The injured women, including Shamshad Bibi, Fazilat Begum and Fatima, were shifted to a hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
