KARACHI: Lecole Ballerz and Omega Club have won their respective matches in the ongoing NBP Pakistan Day basketball tournament being organized by Karachi Basketball Association in collaboration with NBP at Arambagh Basketball courts on Monday.

In the first match of the day, Lecole Ballerz beat Arambagh Basketball Club 37-35 in a thrilling contest.

Main scorers for the winners were Arham and Umar Pasha who 8 points each and Zaid 7 points. For the losing side, Raheed Khan scored 11 points, Hasan Ali 8 points and Saad Salahuddin 6 points.

In the second match of the day, Omega Basketball beat Bahria Basketball Club with a big margin of 68-47 in a one-sided contest. Usman with 16 points was on the forefront for the winners while Usman Rehan 14 points and Tahir Naqash 12 points also contributed well.

For the losers, the main contributors were Naveed Khan and Hamad Khan who scored 12 points each. Earlier, Fateha Khawani and a condolence reference was held for eminent educationist Hashmatullah Lodhi, former President of Karachi Basketball Association, who died in Karachi this week. Ghulam Muhammad Khan, President, Karachi Basket­ball Association led the reference.
