Pakistan spikers for Dubai

ISLAMABAD, July 8: The Pakistan spikers are due to leave for Dubai on July 20 to take part in the Al-Rashid International tournament, an official of the volleyball federation said on Friday.

The team, currently preparing in Wah under a Bulgarian coach, is expected to do well at the July 22-27 tournament where India will be one of the eight contesting nations.

After their return from the tournament, the spikers will resume their training for the Senior Asian Championship in Thailand that runs from Sep 20 to 27.

Meanwhile PVF chief Ch. Muhammad Yaqub is to attend a meeting of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) in Shanghai next month.
