KARACHI: Two policemen belonging to Shahrah-i-Noorjehan police on Monday were suspended as an inquiry committee concluded that medical student Nimra Beg was shot dead by firing carried out by the policemen during an exchange of fire with suspects in North Karachi on Feb 22, according to a police spokesperson.
The spokesperson also promised that departmental and legal action was also being initiated against the suspended policemen on recommendations of the inquiry team.
The spokesperson said that the inquiry report was presented to city police chief Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh.
