LOS ANGELES, Jan 12: The US federal government on Wednesday promulgated new food laws that would enable the authorities to keep an eye on waiters and workers working at the restaurants.

The law would help the authorities to check the credentials of low paid daily wage workers in hotels and restaurants.

The victims of this law will be workers from the Third World countries. Many of them work in the United States as waiters and workers.

Among them are a large number of immigrants who work part-time to support their studies in the United States. They come from Pakistan, India, Africa and the Middle East.

The new regulations have been introduced in order to check terrorist activities, such as anthrax, in the food industry following reports of water contamination in some parts of the United States.

The Food and Drugs Administration is aiming the guidelines towards the restaurants, grocery stores, farmers and food processors.
