LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced the consortium of Blitz and Trans Group as the new live production partner for the HBL Pakistan Super League.

“Blitz are the PCB’s broadcast partners in Pakistan, while Trans Group are the event management partners,” a PCB press release stated. “Blitz and Trans Group will start their coverage when the matches resume on Wednesday and will continue to provide the same high quality coverage which the followers experienced in the earlier games of the event.”

The deal was inked following the pull-out of Indian broadcaster IMG Reliance in the wake of political tension between Pakistan and India. The PCB, however, did not mention if it would take any legal action against the Indian broadcaster for breaching the contract.
