RAWALPINDI: Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa has been appointed the new deputy commissioner.

He was transferred from the Planning and Development Department of the Punjab government where he was chief of section in BS-18.

His predecessor, Dr Omer Jehangir, was appointed the deputy commissioner by the caretaker government in June last year.

In pursuance of the notification issued by the Punjab government, Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa has assumed his charge.

He has vowed to serve people honestly.

Mr Randhawa also served the district as additional coordination officer revenue, finance and planning and general.

He also served as administrator of defunct Rawal Town Municipal Administration.
