CHAKWAL: Three members of a family including a four-year-old child were killed while seven others injured critically in a road accident, police said on Tuesday.

Iqbal Ahmed, 58, was going to his village from Talagang along with his nine family members including five children in a car. When their car was passing through Bilalabad village on Talagang-Mianwali Road, it smashed into a Toyota Land Cruiser coming from the opposite direction.

Resultantly Iqbal Ahmed, his four-year-old son Bilal Sultan and his sister Firdos Bibi died on the spot while seven other persons including five children got severe head injuries.

The injured were shifted to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition.

“The accident was occurred when Iqbal tried to cross a trailer and could not judge the distance of Land Cruiser coming from the opposite side,” SHO Malik Afzal of Saddar Police Station Talagang told Dawn.
