FEB 6 was a terrible day, particularly for the people at Sindh, as we saw the news of a Union Council chairman identified as Raheem Shah open fire at a 35-year-old Sindhi nationalist leader, Irshad Ranjhani in Karachi’s Bhains Colony. Our leader was shot dead. The people of Sindh condemn this brutal murder. The people of Sindh are protesting across the province and asking for justice for Irshad Ranjhani.
It hurts me to say this but whether they thought he was a criminal or not, at least they should have taken him to a hospital and provided him with urgent treatment.
Why did the UC chairman not let people help Ranjhani?
Although the police have arrested Raheem Shah for refusing medical help to an injured man, I hope the honourable court will punish him according to the law.

IRSHAD Ranjhani’s murder has upset the Sindhi community in Karachi. The manner in which he was killed shows how brutal and cruel some people have become.
According to the UC chairman, Ranjhani was a robber and was going to steal from him. I want to ask this man: who gave you the authority to shoot at someone? Are you higher than law?
This tragedy has left many questions unanswered. People are scared. Can anyone kill xyz if there is suspicion on what he does for a living?
This act openly challenges the writ of the state and shows anarchy in the state. The government should take serious action against this heinous act and maintain the law and order in the society.
