LAHORE: A young man was shot dead by robbers in Garhi Shahu on Wednesday.

Identified as Sajjawal, the youngster was shot in the chest which proved fatal, a police official said, adding he was found dead in the Garhi Shahu market.

Quoting relatives of the deceased, the police said Sajjawal was stopped by armed men who shot him on resistance. The family said his mobile phones and wallet were missing.

Police sent the body to the morgue for autopsy and registered a case against unidentified suspects.
