PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency’s Cyber Crime Wing on Monday arrested a man for using social media to defame a woman.

The woman had approached the FIA alleging that the accused, Irfan Ali Shah, was defaming her by SMS and sending her pictures to her relatives.

An official of the FIA said the arrest of Irfan Ali Shah, a resident of Abdara Road, came after investigations.

He said the agency recovered a sim card attached with Facebook account and other material from the accused and registered a case against him relevant sections of the law.
