Daudpota Library

Published February 2, 2019

HYDERABAD is the second largest city of Sindh having only three public libraries. Shamsul Ulema Daudpota Library is one of them. Presently, Hyderabad is considered an important city for preparing competitive examinations like CSS and PCS. Many academies have been launched which provide guidance and a proper environment to the students preparing for competitive examinations.

Prior to this, they used to go to Lahore and Islamabad to seek guidance and study.

In addition to this, many students from all over the province come here for the preparation of entry test of universities. Students rush towards libraries early to get seats. But owing to limited seats, many students have to sit in the park or even in corridors of the libraries.

At Shamsul Ulema Daudpota Library, there is only one room for candidates of competitive examinations.

This room is always filled with students preparing for entry tests.

Moreover, there is eight to 10 hours of load-shedding on a daily basis, which creates a lot of problems for students. In summers, students sit in the park under the trees and study.

The Sindh chief minister and the authorities concerned should have a separate library having all the basic facilities in Qasimabad, Hyderabad, for the candidates of CSS and PCS.
