PESHAWAR: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar has said a special committee would be constituted to resolve the issues of erstwhile Fata.

According to a statement issued here on Saturday, the speaker said this while addressing a convention of Insaf Students Federation held at the University of Peshawar.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was taking personal interest in the newly-merged districts, adding the area would soon be put on course of development.

Mr Qaisar said establishment of hospitals, educational institutions, strengthening of welfare institutions and creating job opportunities in tribal districts were among the topmost priorities of the government.

He said the nation would not forget the sacrifices of tribal people for the country during the war on terror. He said a new era of development and prosperity would be started in the tribal districts.

Mr Qaisar said two million youth would get jobs in Rashaki Economic Zone.

The NA speaker said peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan was interlinked, adding Islamabad wanted to further improve trade relations with Kabul in order to bring economic prosperity in the region. He also stressed upon youth to work hard and play their role in country’s development.
