NFC institute

THIS refers to the National Fertiliser Corporation Institute of Engineering and Technology (NFC-IET) sub-campus, Naushahro Feroze. Its foundation laying ceremony was performed by the then federal minister of industries and production on Sept 28, 2016.

The cost of the project was Rs810 million and it was to be completed within two years. This campus contained four technologies — civil, mechanical, electrical and petroleum.

However, the federal ministry of industries and production has stopped funds for this project for unknown reasons. No work ever started on this project.

I urge President Arif Alvi, the adviser to the prime minister on ministry of industries and production, the federal minister and the secretary for industries and production to look into this issue so that youth can benefit from this engineering facility.
