Impatient people

Published January 24, 2019

I FAIL to understand why people are so impatient. I arrived in the city on Monday morning and was shocked to see the crowd at immigration. No lines, no organised queues – just hordes of men, women and children clambering over each other to ensure that they get ahead.

What was more infuriating was the fact that there were men standing in a line specifically marked for unaccompanied women and senior citizens.

Why can’t people behave in a civilized manner? Everyone has to get out anyway. What are a few minutes of wait?

If we don’t have patience in a simple immigration line, how are we supposed to navigate the ups and downs of life?
