SWABI: A man gunned down his brother over a property dispute, while their mother died of shock after seeing the body in Yar Hussain village here on Wednesday.

Relatives said cause of the incident was stated to be a dispute between brothers, Asad Khan and Hamza Khan, over the ownership of a house.

They said Hamza wanted to get a major chunk of the building but the deceased refused.

The brothers argued over the matter which led to the shooting.

When the body of Asad was brought to home his mother suffered a cardiac arrest on seeing it and died instantly.

The deceased’s father registered an FIR against his son, demanding his early arrest.

Meanwhile, unidentified persons fastened a watchman in Topi’s main bazaar to a pillar and brutally killed him during the night.

Khan Zaman, who belonged to Khadar Khankhel area of Topi city, was a watchman at an under construction market on Topi-Batakara road.

After killing the watchmen, the assailants took away a tractor-trolley parked there.

Police have registered an FIR against unknown car-lifters and started investigations.
