Jamshoro Road

Published January 23, 2019

THE Jamshoro road is one of the busiest highways of Sindh. Another reason for its importance is it connects Karachi with interior Sindh. Tens of thousands of vehicles use this road daily.

Many institutions of higher learning like Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, University of Sindh and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Science and a number of schools and colleges are on this road.

It is unfortunate that this busy thoroughfare sees many accidents owing to rash driving. Many youth of different institutions have lost their lives because of this factor.

The district authorities and Sindh government should widen the road and also erect pedestrian bridges near each of the educational institutions. Besides these, a few more pedestrian bridges at busy points will help save lives.
