QUETTA: The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will open trade routes with other countries and help in stabilising Pakistan’s economy, says Brazilian Ambassador to Pakistan Claudio Line. Speaking to members of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday, he said Brazil wanted to enhance trade with Pakistan.
He said Pakistani handicrafts, carpets, fresh and dry fruits, sports items and several other products had great value in international markets. “Our government is willing to allow Pakistani products in Brazilian markets,” he said. Referring to the CPEC projects, he said Gwadar port would be a gateway for local traders and hoped that local businessmen would send their products to Brazil and North America.
