KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has warned its pilots and cabin crew of strict action if they are found intoxicated during duty time.
“Even smoking [while on duty] is not allowed,” said PIA’s spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar on Friday. Those found violating the rules could face suspension or termination of services, he added.
The warning came against the backdrop of an incident in which a steward was found to have consumed alcohol before a Lahore-bound flight a couple of days ago.
