Sukkur: PPP apathy

Published January 11, 2019

SUKKUR is the third largest city of Sindh. It is also famous for historical places like Masoom Shah Jo Minaro. It has been facing many issues.

A majority of mega projects that started five years ago have not been completed so far. Flyovers and bridges have failed to control the traffic problem.

There is no traffic management plan to overcome rapid increase in transportation and private vehicles. PPP’s leader Khursheed Shah lives in Sukkur but he has no role in city’s development.

The garbage on the streets cannot be lifted because there is no effective local government system. The city has been facing water shortages in almost all areas.

Overflowing sewerage and water seepage have destroyed old roads. The city cannot afford this apathy anymore. The government should take strong and effective measures to resolve these issues.
