QUETTA: Provincial Election Commissioner Ghulam Israr Khan has said that the process for submitting nominations papers for the vacant seat of Senate from Balochistan has completed.

Eight candidates from different political parties submitted their nomination papers to the Election Commission of Balochistan on Thursday.

The general seat from Balochistan fell vacant after the death of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Senator Sardar Azam Khan Musakhail.

The candidates who filed their papers are Yahya Nasar of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), Manzoor Ahmad Kakar of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Ghulam Nabi of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), Mohammad Hanif of the PkMAP, Abdul Wahid of the MMA, Inyatullah Khan of the Awami National Party (ANP), Mujeebur Rehman Mohammad Hasni as Independent and Naseemur Rehman of the BAP.
