SHEIKHUPURA: A woman succumbed to her burn injuries in hospital after her husband set her on fire on the pretext of honour in Sekhum village on Saturday.

Sumaira Bibi, a school teacher by profession, had contracted a court marriage with Qamar Abbas, also a teacher, eight years ago.

Abbas had become suspicious of her character, and after exchanging harsh words over the issue, sprinkled kerosene on her and set her ablaze.
