KARACHI: Test for admissions to the department of visual studies of Karachi University was held at the faculty of arts and social sciences in which 1,050 students participated.

Director of admissions of KU Prof Dr Muhammad Ahmed Qadir, Prof Durriya Kazi, Syed Shamoon Haider and Tania Nasir monitored the test proceedings.

According to the director of admissions, on the special instructions of the vice chancellor, strict security arrangements were made and unauthorised individuals were not allowed near the examination centre.

Admission test was conducted in a peaceful and disciplined manner.

Final merit list will be made with the weightage of 20 per cent of academic percentage, 60 per cent of the admission test result and 20 per cent of interviews of candidates.
