Kamran’s double strike

LAHORE, Jan 10: Two goals by Kamran Noor-ud-Din helped En- Vogue to recover and beat Borjan 7-5 and entered the final of the Venture Cup Polo at the Lahore Polo Club ground Thursday.

Four goals by Sheharyar guided Remounts Whites to qualify  for the subsidiary semifinal, defeating Guard Rice 11-7. The losing side has two goals on the handicap.

In the semifinal, Borjan took the lead twice but the struggling En-Vogue  eventually caught them at 5-5 during the third chukker. But Kamran scored two quick goals in the fourth chukker his side a ticket for the final.

For En-Vogue, besides Kamran, Taimur Mawaz Khan and Shah Qublai Alam also scored two goals each. Asif Yar Tiwana netted the other one. For Borjan, Saaqib Khakwani and Saaqib Mawaz scored three and two goals.

Borjan; Irfan Ali Hyder (2), Saqib Khakwani (2), Saqib Mawaz Khan (3), Umer Sadiq (1).

Remount Whites also came from behind to beat Guard Rice who opened the match with two goal advantage on the handicap.

For the Remounts, Sheharyar and Ahmad Khan scored four goals each while Haseeb Minhas and Husain Iftikhar added two and one goal, respectively.

For Guard Rice, Raja Sattar scored four goals while Haseeb Minhas chipped in with one goal.
