KARACHI: The City School PAF beat Trinity Girls College 9-5 in the opening under-18 category match of the PAFIAN Girls Netball Cup which commenced at the City School PAF campus here on Monday.

Leading school and college teams are participating in the Netball Cup which has been organised by the Pakistan Netball Federation in collaboration with City School PAF.

Simon Glasson, Principal, City School PAF, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and declared the championship open amid colourful atmosphere. Mudassar Arain, President of the Pakistan Netball Federation, Secretary General Muhammad Riaz and Ejazul Haque, Secretary General, Sindh Netball Association, were also present on this occasion.

In the other matches played in the under-18 category, Habib Girls School beat City School Gulshan 14-2 while City School North Nazimabad overpowered City School University Road 9-4. St. Joseph’s Girls School subdued Z-International School 8-2 while Trinity Girls College and St. Joseph’s Girls School match was drawn 4-4.

In under-15, City School PECHS beat City School North Nazimabad 9-2, City School PAF (Blue) defeated Habib Girls School 12-7, Habib Girls School (red) overcame City School PECHS 9-5.
