ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has transferred and posted four top officers of the customs group as part of reshuffling the tax machinery.

The board has already split the function of member customs and created two different slots for customs policy and operation as part of reforms.

According to the notification, Muhammad Javed Ghani was transferred and posted as Member Customs Policy while Dr Jawwad Owais Agha as Member Customs Operation. Agha will also look after the charge of Member — Legal and Accounting Customs FBR.

Wasif Ali Memon was posted as Chief Collector of Customs (North), Islamabad and will also undertake the charge of director general post-clearance audit Islamabad.

Suraiya Ahmed Butt was given the role of director general of transit trade, Karachi, in addition to her posting as DG Customs Valuation, Karachi.
