Save Charna island

Published November 6, 2018

BEACHES are the place where people go for a break from their hectic routine life. The state of any seaside in the world shows how civilised a society is.

Charna Island is a beautiful seaside spot located in Balochistan. Unfortunately, this beach is now polluted as the island was directly hit by the recent oil spill.

This island is not only a lifeline for fisherman living nearby but also a popular place for scuba diving and snorkeling for local and international tourists.

Pakistan Navy and other NGOs have begun a campaign to clean the oil from the sea. These volunteers are also engaged in picking up the refuse strewn on the beach by visitors who thoughtlessly throw garbage not caring about their civic responsibility.

Visitors to our beaches should ensure that they do not litter as these spots are the assets of a beautiful Pakistan.
