KARACHI: Five horses are in line to battle it out for honours in The Odyssey Cup when it takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The Odyssey Cup, which is the third race in the racing order, is also the feature event, combined scale order II and III and will be contested over five five furlongs.

The cup race is part of a four-race card that has been drawn for the day.

Altogether, 24 acceptors have entered the day’s races and will vie for honours barring last-minute withdrawal.

The first race starts at 3:15pm.

“The programme is on and in case of any development the KRC will make the announcement,” a spokesman for the KRC told Dawn when his attention was drawn towards the law and order situation currently prevailing in the city.

THE ODYSSEY PLATE SCALE ORDER IV AND V 4 ½ F:

Pari 9-0, Sweet Victory 8-13, Lovely Baby 8-13, Dhannak 8-5, Cash Machine 8-4, Raging Victory 8-1.

Win: Pari.

Place: Lovely Baby.

THE ODYSSEY CUP SCALE ORDER II AND III 5 F:

Shan-e-Kaif 9-6, Saba 8-5, Sher Khan 8-0, Meri Saba 7-9, Dash In Queen 7-7.
