PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau has arrested the managing director of a housing scheme in Nowshera for cheating public.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the accused, Fazal Ahad, managing director of Blue City Housing Scheme in Nowshera, lured general public to invest in the illegal housing society on the promise of being allotted plots.

However, after lapse of considerable time the accused did not provide plots to any of the investor. The scrutiny of record revealed that the accused was operating the housing scheme illegally without obtaining no-objection certificate from the department concerned.

The statement said the accused would be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar on Wednesday (today) for obtaining his physical remand.
