ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) registered 6,484 companies through the one-window facility established at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

A press release issued on Friday said that the companies have been incorporated with SECP and automatically registered with FBR through the introduction of facility launched earlier this year.

The facility was launched in March 2018 by the FBR in collaboration with SECP to provide ease of doing business.

The initiative is in-line with government’s Doing Business Reforms agenda which will help lift Pakistan’s ranking in doing business index.

Under the one-window imitative, once a company is incorporated with SECP, the credentials of incorporated company and its directors are automatically forwarded to FBR which verifies the data and allots National Tax Number (NTN) to the company within a very short span of time.

FBR sends confirmation message with login credentials to SECP as well as Principal Officer of the company and its directors.
