KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Friday remanded 12 Indian fishermen to prison for fishing in Pakistani waters.
The Maritime Security Agency had detained the fishermen on two boats on Thursday for fishing inside Pakistani territorial waters in the Arabian Sea.
Later, they were handed over to the Docks police for further legal action.
The investigating officer produced them before the court of a judicial magistrate (West), who sent the fishermen to jail on 14-day judicial remand and directed the investigating officer to file the investigation report by the next hearing.
