It is actually a time bomb. It should be diffused right now. Pakistan dot have land mass or proper human development to provide proper nutrition, water and electricity.

Uncontrolled Population growth, Very true presentation of HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE situation of state of Pakistan, totally neglected, issue # 1. Most priority point of discussion but totally neglected at all. I request PM Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi to address this issue, even before IMF loan application. Thank you Dawn and hope Govt of Pakistan will take immediate action.

@George Right on the money. If Pakistan can curb corruption it can manage its population with its richness of resources.

@Qureshi (USA) improper nutrition and reduce growth in Pakistan is increasing day by day. Even in recent 2nd test cricket match Pak vs Aus, we have seen that our batsman standing in middle of the pitch and got run out, everyone is thinking why their brain activity pause, in final day captain also leave the field with same reason.

Pakistan number one problem is not her population, it is the corruption which has destroyed the economic future of the population. Newspapers in India were screaming when that country his 600 million people. Today they are 1.3 billion people and a fast growing economy because their politicians did not steal from their own people.

It is true that corruption has bought us to our knees, however population growth, if not fixed, will wreak havoc upon this country like no war before has.
I commend DAWN and other publications who are highlighting this issue at the highest level, a policy regarding this matter has to come within these 5 years.
