Sajid Khan has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women following which he stepped down from his role as Housefull 4 producer. But he has some explaining to do.

The Indian Film & TV Directors' Association (IFTDA) has issued Sajid a show-cause notice asking him to explain his behaviour.

The notice read: "We were literally shocked to receive the email complaints of Ms Karishma Upadhyay, an eminent journalist, Ms Rachel White and Ms Simran Suri, both aspiring actors against you for outraging the modesty of the women by abusing your power as director of films Humshakals and Himmatwala."

It further said, "Your lewd and obscene actions have brought disrepute to Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association. We, therefore, want an explanation from you for such offensive behaviour within seven days of the receipt of the notice for further action as per the rules and regulations... In case of no reply, ex-parte decision would be taken."

The director has been given a week to present an explanation.

The IFTA also issued Vikas Bahl a show-cause notice and subsequently suspended him from his position as board member.

"IFTDA has taken a serious cognisance to the Vikas Bahl sexual harassment case and has issued a show cause notice for him to be present in front of Women’s Grievance Redressal Cell and explain his stance which on failing to do so he will be subjected to membership annulment #MeTooIndia," read their tweet.

He has spoiled the name of his entire family. His sister Farah has already distanced herself from his dirty affairs.

This is setting a good precedent in India. Such incidents and people are there in all fields who take advantage, and by cracking down on such incidents instead of ignoring those as a creative or other professional necessity, people understand and stop short of being obnoxious characters. This is good for real rights and all nations need to emulate those measures.
