PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority on Wednesday fined six leading private schools for not providing fee concession to siblings and absence of fitness certificates of vans and buses.

According to a statement issued here, a team of PSRA visited several private schools and checked their record.

The team was led by director operations Riaz Bahar, deputy directors Sohail Aziz and Noor Alarm Khan Wazir and assistant director Abdul Haq.

The City School Senior Campus, Peshawar Cant, failed to provide registration documents and sibling concession data as per KP-PSRA Act 2017.

The school was fined Rs20.000 for violating sibling fee concession policy.

Other schools fined Rs20,000 include Peshawar Model School Boys-VI, Ring Road, Peshawar Model Degree College, Jamil Chowk, Ring Road, The City School Senior Campus, Hayatabad Phase-5, and Beacon House School System, Jamrud Road.

The Learners High School, Hayatabad, faced double fine — Rs20,000 for violating sibling policy and Rs20,000 for increasing tuition fee. The regulatory authority directed the mentioned schools to provide complete details/documents along with compliance report within a week.
