KARACHI: Gillette Pakistan Ltd recorded yearly profit of Rs4.3 million and earnings per share (EPS) at Rs0.23 from a loss of Rs193m and loss per share of Rs10.1 in the previous year.

Net sales were almost the same at around Rs1.83 billion in both the years but reduction in cost of goods sold helped lift the bottom line.

Ferozsons posts loss: Ferozsons Laboratories posted FY18 consolidated loss after tax at Rs17m, compared with profit after tax (PAT) at Rs395m the previous year.

The board also recommended cash dividend at Rs2 per share. Although sales rose to Rs5.06bn from Rs5bn, profit from operations fell to Rs98m from Rs609m due mainly to selling and distribution expenses jumped to Rs1.24bn, from Rs1.02bn.

Karam Ceramics profit: Karam Ceramics Ltd recorded yearly Rs15m PAT and (EPS: Rs1.04), against loss of Rs74m and loss per share of Rs5.12 last year. The board declared a cash dividend at Re0.80 per share while turnover grew to Rs1.21bn, from Rs 861m the earlier year.
