SAHIWAL: Chichawatni police arrested a man for killing his uncle and aunt in Chak 163A/9-L on suspicion that they were doing black magic on him.

Dr Nazir and his wife, Robina, were found murdered by fire shots in their home in the village on Sept 12.

Ghaziabad Station House Officer Ali Kazmi started investigation into the case and found that Dr Nazir’s nephew, Jaffar, missing from his home. The police gathered information from the locals about Jaffar who believed in black magic.

He used to complain about his uncle and aunt, saying they were involved in the black magic on him to stop his financial growth. The police tracked Jaffar’s location through his mobile phone but he used to change his mobile phone SIM. On Sunday, he was arrested from the suburbs of Khanewal.

DSP Ghazanfar Abbas told Dawn the suspect was misled by the faith healers and fake pirs. He said the police were planning to get experts’ opinion about the mental health of the suspect. The police recovered the murder weapon (rifle) from the suspect.
