LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) issued on Saturday directions to business operators to get their products registered till Dec 31 as all companies are to register their products separately.

The PFA will not allow anyone to sell their unregistered products in markets after the deadline. The PFA will publish the list of registered products on PFA’s website for public interest under the section 2b of PFA Act.

Registration is to ensure food business operators follow the standards of PFA Act. Only those products will be registered which meet the standards of the Punjab Pure Food Regulations 2018.

Also, the authority special operation teams inspected a number of free food stalls (langar khana) and sabeel points on Muharram 9 and 10.

The teams were deployed in the areas of Data Darbar, Bibi Pak Daman and other shrines.
